Arizona Emergency Products was founded in 2001 to fulfill a critical need for reliable emergency vehicle up-fitting. Prior to the existence of AEP police and emergency vehicle production was inconsistent and inefficient. It was not uncommon to have vehicles out of manufacturers warranties before the units were completed and available to be utilized for police work.
Sales doubled in the second year of operation and in 2003 Arizona Emergency Products moved from it's original 5,000 Square foot location to a 12,000 square foot assembly facility in Phoenix south of Sky Harbor Airport. As sales continued to double over the next two years, AEP added an additional 4,000 square foot parts and stocking building adjacent to the Phoenix assembly facility.
In 2005 New Mexico Emergency Products (NMEP), a division of Arizona Emergency Products, was opened in Albuquerque. In 2007 AEP provided over 2,500 units to numerous local, state and federal agencies throughout the southwestern United States.
In February, 2008 Arizona Emergency Products moved to it's new state-of-the-art 46,000 square foot headquarters and assembly plant. This new facility more than triples AEP's production capacity and will suport expansion into Nevada, California and Utah currently underway.
Arizona Emergency Products was initially started with five employees which remain with AEP today. AEP now employs 65 full and part time employees in Arizona and an additional 12 employees in New Mexico.
In addition to vehicle up-fitting services, AEP provides service, repair and maintenance for all fleet vehicles at all of our facilities. This includes bench repair for radios, computers, radar and numerous other electrical components, providing faster turn around allowing units to be returned to service more quickly. Arizona Emergency Products also fields a complete mobile service team which provides service, repair and maintenance at agency facilities on request.
